Beautiful Tingko Beach at Alcoy, Cebu

My first summer shindig of 2013 together with friends was in Tingko Beach, Alcoy, Cebu. The beach looks like a privately owned beach just by looking at some pictures of the place. But the fact that it looks very beautiful does not tells you that going there is very expensive because it's a public beach in Alcoy. Yes, you heard it right, a beautiful white sand beach you can spend your summer with friends.

The plan of the trip was made 2 weeks before the actual date. Since the contribution for the trip is within my budget then I automatically opt-in with no second thought.

Saturday, 20 April '13, the day of the trip. We were all packed around 8 o'clock in the morning. A little early because going to Alcoy from Naga will need more or less 1 hour and 45 minutes on a bus. Unfortunately, we were not able to board a bus for standing almost 30 minutes on the sidewalk. We then decided to ride a jeep to Carcar and we'll find a bus there going to Alcoy. But the thing gets worst because all the buses going to Alcoy from Carcar are full.

Good thing a jeep driver approach us and ask where are we heading. As soon as the driver knows where we're heading, he made a deal for us. He will board us on his jeep to Tingko Beach in Alcoy for a fare of 70 pesos each person. We don't have any other choices at the moment than to wait for buses full of passengers, we accepted the deal and arrived at the beach around 11 o'clock.

Then the party started!

The entrance fee is just 10 pesos and if you have a vehicle to park you'll need to pay 50 pesos if I am not mistaken. Cottage rate vary on the size and it looks I guess. Hahaha! They charge from 1,000-2,000 pesos per cottages. If short on budget, you can rent a table and benches for only 250 pesos.

    1. Hello Jee!

      Thanks for dropping by!
They do have rooms for rent. If I'm not mistaken, Php1,500 a day rent.

You can also rent a tent or you can bring your own and set-up the tent on the shore. It's more cheaper than a room and more exciting. ^^
